4D3N BKK Trip- Day 1

Here's my long overdue Bangkok Trip post! I went on 26th August till 29th August. I went with Yvonne, one of my closest cousin I have among my external families. Initially we thought of celebrating my birthday at BKK, but I have plans already. So we decided to came back at 30th midnight.
On the right would be Fuguan, left Xiavier :)

Our flight time was 7 plus am in the morning, which mean we have to reach airport at about 5. I just randomly tweet out " any kind soul wanna send me to airport?" and Fuguan actually volunteer to send us there. Hehehehe. So thanks to Fuguan and his friend Xiavier, they both woke up extra earlier just to send us to airport before they went back to their camp.

As it was pretty early in the morning, I was feeling tad guilty for making them to wake up extra early, Von and I decided to treat them to breakfast. Hahaha. But at that damn hours, only BurgerKing is open so we had our BK breakfast. Heheheh

After our breakfast, it's time for us to check in our luggage, we bid goodbye with each other and went separate way.

We took Jetstar as it was the only airline that can accomodate to our timing. We were a lil kiasu and decided to take the earliest flight to BKK and latest flight back to Singapore. Hahahaha.
Never realise Singapore Changi Airport is so classy and nice.

Took that shot and start to dicuss with Yvonne about their family supplying our Orchid to Changi Airport and I took a very typical tourist picture despite being a Singaporean here! Hahahah

Like this picture so much. It was randomly taken by Yvonne after we walked out from toilet.

The flight duration was about 3 hours? I couldn't rmb exactly the time but it wasn't a very long hours of flight. We took a nap as we didn't had a wink before our flight. Reached Bkk airport, we start searching banner that have our names printed out and it turned out to be in this name -.-
FYI, her name is Lim Shu Yan. -.-

The tour leader(I think) brought us to our van lookalike coach bus and sent us to our hotel. So some pictures taken in the van/bus. Throughout the journey I saw many cabs around. Similar to Singapore, it's just different colour and brand lah. So I told Shuyan, I die die also want to take the pink cab! It's so cute and sweet. hahahaha. Other cab have very common colours which Singapore have so no point to take as well. Heheheh

We checked in at Ecotel Hotel, it's 3 star hotel which was claimed to be quite budget. But the exterior and interior of the Lobby is damn niceeeee. It looks true to the picture that was shown to us at Agoda.com and the room was as small as what I expect.

It's quite nice, isn't it? The second question popped out from us. What about our rooms? There's this bellboy, who carry our luggage all the way till our room for us. I thought if it's a budget hotel, this service is not require? Hahaha. So I'm pretty happy with the service provided by them :)

A very simple and clean room by them. The bed was soft and doesn't have any weird smell. *Thumbs up* Done with the check of room and etc, time for shopping!

I mentioned above about the various cab available, however their most famous and common transportation is Tuk tuk! When you reach BKK, everywhere is tuk tuk. The first day of our trip was the luckiest day of all. The tuk tuk to MBK only cost us 30 bhat which is like $1.23 SGD. To be honest, I think the driver is a lil tiko, but he is one of those driver who is quite smart and bilingual with languages such as English, Chinese and of cos his own mother tongue - Thai.

And when we saw this, we know we are reaching MBK!

We went over to MBK center to shop for some Naraya! I wasn't a fan of Naraya, we just bought it because our good friend; Siawting wants it! So I decided to get her a belated gift for her birthday. Naraya at BKK was dirt cheap! Singapore used to have Naraya at Vivo City, one bag cost about $100 plus SGD( the one I saw before) but it BKK, we bought about 4 or 5 items and it didn't even sum up to $100 SGD.

After Naraya at MBK, we cross over the bridge and head to Siam square. Siam paragon, Siam square and MBK are all around the same area. They are like beside or opposite each other. It's easy to identify the way to one another.

Siam square are lunch! Instead of Thai food, we saw this Japanese restaurant which look quite nice and we decided to dine in there.

I was too hungry to capture what we ordered! But, tadahhh, there's a picture of what is left!
You know when girls are in toilet, they are best at taking photos! Just one to share. Hahaha.

The best part about BKK is shopping! The mall that every girls would love to shop. Platinum mall. Bought a few items from there and without us realising, the time is already evening/night. Went back to our hotel and put our stuff. Just at our hotel nearby area there are lots of massage palour and restaurant available. We just randomly pick the place.

Dinner at Cafe D Elite, which is a westernize restaurant. the food was fabulous and the price wasn't exp as well. Satisfied!

lastly before we called our day off, a good massage is a must! had traditional Thai massage and from there, I know my sis couldn't take the pressure. and throughout the session she was laughing and bearing with the pain. Hahaha

At our hotel lobby, waiting for lift!

My loots!
Her loots :)

Every night of the day at BKK, we had heart to heart talk before falling asleep.
